York

I have begun to feel more settled in England over the past few days. I really like my dorm room and the people I live with. Its weird because the halls are so small compared to Keene. There  are only 9 of us on my side of the "block". I really like it because it makes us a lot closer already. It's strange being a lot older than the friends that I am making!! Classes on Monday and I am really looking forward to getting into a routine here. It will feel more like I am going to University somewhere else. I LOVE the campus, even though it a lot smaller than I am used to. My classes are only 5 minute walks away from F-block (should be nice in the winter) :) Everyone is really friendly here and seems to understand I will have questions about sayings and different slags we use in different countries.

One thing I am really having a hard time with is the class schedules. Classes here aren't in the same classroom every week. For the most part my classes switch what room we meet in my weekly. I just need to remember to check what classroom I'm going to before I leave my dorm. I can't think of anything else to say... ;)

Liverpool

Today I was able to travel to Liverpool! I was really excited because I am a huge Beatles fan. I also liked knowing my family on my aunt's side come from there as well. While there we saw all kinds of museums that were very interesting. One was about the Titanic and all the other ships that have sunk coming from England. It then led into really cool World War Two information about the battle between the British Navy and the German Nazis. I was pumped because it was the first European perspective I was able to learn from. We then went into the International Trade Museum, which was really sad but interesting. Before these more educational museums we went into The Beatles Story. I got to see how the band started and their journey into fame and when they broke up. I was the most excited for this part. One of the highlights of my week for sure.

Now that I did a few days of walking and traveling I should probably take a day to rest and put myself back together. I've been none stop all week and I'm excited to get back into the routine of school. Hopefully it will be good for me. I seem to be fighting jet-lag...but its now catching up with me. Talking to my friends on skype is making me get a little home sick. I really hope once at school and I make more friends I will feel better. If not...I'll have to get over it since I'm here for three more months hehe

Landed

Today is my 3rd day in England. I have been non-stop since I landed Monday morning. Monday we rested in our hotel and enjoyed our first tube ride to watch Mama Mia! I got fish and chips for my first dinner across the pond and got to order my first "legal" drink. After a long day we headed to bed and Steph, Lizzie and I headed out to explore London by 10am! We saw palaces and monuments while walking all of London. We were sore and tired, but it was so worth it. I slept until almost one today! I don't think I have ever done that. I'm getting used to the time change...kinda. I'm still trying to get used to being so far away from home. I hope it will become more normal. I can not understand pounds for the life of me. Steph needs to keep helping me pay for things. I'm actually getting ready and excited for school to start. Once I get into my routine I know time will fly by. It's hard not being able to text everyone especially Dan. I got to skype chat with people last night, which made me feel better. So far so good :)
